  • I had an incredible experience at this Spanish tapas restaurant. Every dish was absolutely exquisite—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with care. The red sangria was honestly the best I’ve ever had, perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was excellent from start to finish, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I’m already planning my next visit and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing tapas and a memorable dining experience.

  • Basque Tapas Bar Tarrytown delivers an impressive slice of Spanish cuisine in Tarrytown. It’s particularly strong on tapas and beverages—especially for groups or date nights. While the paella occasionally misses a perfect socarrat crust, it remains delicious and fills you up. If tapas-first dining is your style, this spot rarely disappoints. Just plan ahead, arrive early, or make a reservation if you’re with a larger group.

  • It is truly beautiful to see everyone, enjoying their company and mingling with others, but of all how Basque was able to create an ambiance that has brought everyone together is not something that we see every now and then. This place is a gem and we had an incredible night tonight. The service was impeccable. The food was Abundant and delicious. I truly hope to be back soon. Overall everything was delightful. I highly recommend coming to try it out.

  • Wonderful place! Super cozy and amazing food. Was very busy for a Wednesday evening, so make reservations if possible. It's kind of expensive, but hey, it's New York. I would definitely dine here again, hopefully with someone else picking up the check. Enjoy!

  • Came here with my mom and my sister on a Sunday afternoon. I had been craving a tapas place for some time now. There was no wait and we were seated by the window. Our server was very nice and attentive. We started with the octopus, potatoes, and the fried eggplant. Delicious! We also had a pitcher of the white sangria, which was nice and refreshing. We then shared the surf and turf paella for two which we didn’t even finish because we were stuffed. The flavor of that paella was just amazing. Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. I may have to convince hubby to go there tonight . Oh and yes, we were somehow convinced to have dessert. Those churros with chocolate sauce… scrumptious!

  • One of the best tapas places we have ever been to, the food was superb, we had 6 tapas, patatas bravas, filet mignon tips, eggplant, mushrooms, grilled octopus and gambas, they were all delicious and very authentic Spanish flavor; had a bottle of Marques de Tomares, Rioja Crianza 2021, delicious wine! Overall great experience, nice atmosphere, will be coming back !

  • REVIEW SUMMARY: 1 – This paella is not paella to me, but still a good rice dish 2 - Puntas de filet mignon picante was amazing. The red sangria was good. 3 – Service was not great Paella: We ordered the Marisco seafood paella. This was a great rice dish, but not paella IMO. Go to Mercado Little Spain in the Hudson Yards NYC if you want something that tastes like the paella you get in Spain. Also, they served it with uncooked cold hard green olives on it. Very disjointed and strange. Appetizer: The puntas de filet mignon picante was amazing. It came out sizzling and steaming and the spiciness from the cherry peppers was perfect. And the steak was cooked perfect. The coolest part was how, as soon as it was brought to our table, my wife and I started coughing from the spice it put in the air. And then we heard people at every other table coughing over the next 20 minutes or so. It was like napalm. Loved it. The red sangria was also good. Not the best we’ve ever had, but good nonetheless. Service: Our server was Richard, and we were not impressed. He took forever to bring the bread, never offered us water until we eventually asked, and we must have waited 45 minutes after our desert for him to finally bring us a bill. Not because they were exceptionally busy, either. In fact, he walked into the middle of the 20 x 20 dining room many times to look around at the tables, but it was like my wife and I were invisible. When I finally caught his attention and he came to our table, I let him know that I wasn’t happy with how ridiculously long it took to finally get to ask for our bill, but there was no apology from him. I would never let him be my server again, and the tip reflected that. I would like to eat at this place again. There are some other interesting dishes on the menu and some beautiful ones I’ve seen photos of on Google reviews. But for this visit, I wanted authentic Spanish paella, and I can’t recommend that. So, my advice is to check this place out, but don’t order the paella unless you just want a good rice dish, and don’t let Richard be your server. That’s my opinion and advice. I’m confident you’ll get some delicious food if you check them out.

  • What an amazing Spanish restaurant. One of the best we have been to. Outstanding paella and tapas. And top it off with amazing sunsets. Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Tarrytown.
